We're at about the mid-way point in the Farmers' Market season, nearing the end of the spring greens and moving on into our main season crops.

The season is off to an early start in the market garden, look forward to veggies a week or two early at the markets this year.

Farmers' Market Season begins...! Fridays Farmstand 2-6, Saturdays Smithers 9-1, Sundays Hazelton 10-2
Bouncing Lambs
20 lambs so far, with a few ewes left to go. It's been a gentler world to arrive into this year, green grass without ice and snow.
March Tilling
Well that's a first, tilling the garden in March. The growing season seems to be off to an early start, as the thermometer hit 20'C this afternoon. Photos by Jolene.
Eyrie
Thought I'd share a few views from the guest cabin on the hill, which this fellow was enjoying all to itself from the deck. Boreal owl, we reckon. We're offering a season long farm internship this year which includes eyrie cabin accomodation and plentiful fresh farm food. More info at Young Agrarians.

The fall-seeded wheat is coming out of its winter dormancy, as are the animals .
